There was a period in my life where I spend an inordinate amount of time working to have life become easy. I went through all of it…I’ll change me, I’ll change it, I’ll change them…and so on. The results…life got harder.

The pattern, the routine, what you have to do, the order of things…This is what the mind naturally puts it’s attention to. Society has brought you up this way. Does this sound familiar?

What happens when your life doesn’t work? You make the plans, line everything up, get the people and lay down the time line…and then, it just doesn’t work like you wanted it to? Where does your head take you? What happens to your outlook?

What is happiness? I’ve heard said throughout my life that happiness is different for everyone. I’m not so sure I agree with that. Happiness is a feeling, an experience if you will. Whether it be culturally or individually, what we say makes us happy is very different.

When was the last time you did an evaluation of yourself? What are you known for? Can people count on you? What conversations take place about you when you aren’t around? Have you ever taken the time to look at yourself this way?
